After a cold wet walk and pub tea, with the girls tucked up in bed I spent yesterday evening on the sofa licking a wooden spoon covered in brownie mixture! The reward after a baking session( especially as it is wasn’t me who did the baking!) thinking about how lovely my home is, and how it feels. As it rained outside I thought about how my home is too soaked in words, those spoken and unspoken.
Home is important. It is where all the important stuff happens in my life. I want to create a home that is a safe haven, a dream space, a place of freedom, honesty and inspiration. All over our house there are words. Not just the words we speak but the written word on the walls of our home. Saturating the spaces we live in, in truth. Words affect our environment. Our spoken words change other peoples lives sometimes for the better, sometimes not. The words we read affect our own hearts and minds sometimes for the better and sometimes not so much. I want to soak our home in words of truth and love so that even in the silence good words are being poured into the rooms of our lives. Even while we are away for the weekend there are banners over the doorways declaring the promises. Even in the arguments and the tears love is present.
Here are some of my collection
